Amazing hotel Taormina" rev_body="This is an amazing property in Taormina! My family of ten (aged 14-86) just returned from a 2 week trip to Sicily, and our final two nights were at the Hotel Villa Carlotta. It was a beautiful way to end the trip. Riccardo and Simona, and all of the staff, were so helpful at check in for the group of us. My mother's accommodations included some narrow stairs which didn't work for her, and Riccardo shuffled things to work out an situation that worked beautifully! We had rooms on all floors of the hotel and each was wonderful in its own way. My teenaged sons were on the bottom floor with no sea view, but just steps away from the pool and lovely garden area. The view as you go up gets only better! Marcus in the restaurant was a wonderful employee. He gave us a warm welcome to the top floor terrace area on our arrival--complete with Prosecco and nibbles. The view was to die for, and his stories about growing up locally were great, especially for the teens and 20 year olds in the group. He also showed great respect (as did the entire staff) to my mother 'nonna'. Sicily loves their nonnas and it shows with the fine treatment she received from everyone in this hotel. I cannot say anything more about breakfast that has not already been written--you have to see it to believe it! The view, the location, the staff--this is a first rate hotel and not to be missed! Thank you all for a wonderful stay!" author="yellowdogtravel on TripAdvisor" pubdate="2013-07-01" user_review="5" min_review="1" max_review="5" ]
