Knowing that we were probably quite hungry they arranged to send a plate of cheeses, cut cold meats, bread, olives and more to our room immediately. The staff throughout the hotel is very attentive from those at reception to the cleaners, pool and kitchen staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Villa Carlotta is an immaculately clean and well maintained personal hotel offering unique rooms (no one the same) all facing the Mediterranean Sea. It is a cut above any regular hotel inasmuch that it offers only beautiful 24 rooms thereby making you as a guest feel very special. The bigger hotels cannot come close to Villa Carlotta for service and personal touch. Our particular room has a walk out balcony containing sunbeds, table and chairs. The breakfast selection is very diverse for all tastes and the quality of the fresh baked foods and fresh meat was superb. Breakfast is served on the top floor overlooking the sea and Mount Etna. The gardens and swimming pool offer sunbeds fresh towels and a facility to order drinks and meals if so desired from a staffed location on site. Again the attentiveness of the staff was exemplary. The location is equally as impressive. It is not in the centre of Taormina yet it is within 10 minutes easy walk. Because of this, it is quiet and away from the main bustle of crowds which is of comfort knowing that evenings can be spent peacefully without noise. I would highly recommend this place to stay to anyone wishing to stay in Taormina. You will not be disappointed. Many thanks to all the staff for a wonderful holiday. It was a pleasure to be a guest. Room Tip: All rooms are of excellent quality, there is no bad room in the entire place." author="morse999" pubdate="2013-05-26" user_review="5" min_review="1" max_review="5" ]
