We stayed at the beginning and end of our trip to Sicily and received a great deal of helpful advice on how to get about including the hydrofoils to the Aeolian islands and excellent recommendations on hotels and things to do. The staff are all exceptionally helpful and kind and it is a really happy family run establishment which makes for a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The roof terrace, where the delicious breakfast is served, has the most wonderful view out to sea and over Mount Etna. We returned every evening for a drink on the terrace and also had dinner there one evening. Taormina was very busy and it was very hot and it was a joy to return to the hotel to an oasis of peace. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and the rooms are both stylish and extremely comfortable and welcoming with a stunning view over the sea and the garden. There had been quite a lot refurbishment work to the hotel since our visit a year ago and the rather dark bar had been transformed into a cosy sitting room with computers at one end for the guest's use. We never got around to visiting the fitness centre and spa. We will definitely be returning next year." author="Jill M on TripAdvisor" pubdate="2013-06-28" user_review="5" min_review="1" max_review="5" ]
