This is a beautiful hotel and the ideal place for a honeymoon (or to spoil oneself for any other occasion:)). We spent six nights in the junior suite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely helpful, the room spotless and elegant and the breakfast buffet the best we have seen anywhere (a mouth-watering choice of cheeses and cold cuts, English breakfast, fruit and cakes)! We would also recommend the hotel restaurant on the top floor (the same place where the breakfast is served) for other meals - we had a couple of great evenings there sitting on a terrace overlooking the sea. The hotel is extremely peaceful: while the centre of Taormina is well worth a visit, you'll be tempted not to leave the hotel!

"Fabulous Villa Carlotta"
We flew into Catania and I thought what on earth have we come to as it looks quite rundown but fear not as Taormina and the hotel Villa Carlotta are gorgeous. First things first - book a car from the hotel to pick you up. It's cheaper than the taxi's at the airport @ 90 euros one way (it's a 50 minute drive).
On arrival we were told that we had been upgraded with the honeymoon package to the tower room - which was stunning. The service at the hotel is excellent. They can't do enough for you. Most days we lazed by the pool in the gardens which are really nice. We went to the Lido on one of ours days which was also very nice but at 10 euros each it's free to stay in the hotel grounds and you get food and drinks brought to you at the poolside so we opted for that instead. The food, although simple, was very good, especially the penne siciliana- yum! The breakfasts were also very good.
Taormina is lovely. The one thing I will say about the restaurants and bars in Taormina is that they are very expensive.
I would definately go back to Villa Carlotta - I could not fault it. We had an amazing stay and would like to thank all of the staff.

"Lovely hotel & very helpful staff - everything is taken care of"
An exclusive hotel yet fosters a very warm and friendly atmosphere, all the staff are friendly and helpful but the hotel managers Riccardo & Antonio stand out.
We had 10 very relaxing days staying at this hotel as part of our honeymoon.

"The most gorgeous hotel"
This is the most gorgeous hotel we have ever stayed in and probably ever will given we're not accustomed to staying in such high class places!
We stayed here for our honeymoon and had the 'honeymoon package' which included a suite for 5 days and champagne, fresh fruit and flowers on arrival. We felt like VIPs.
The room was beautifully decorated and had all the extras you would expect with lovely bath robes, nice toiletries, fresh towels twice a day and your bed turned down each evening. There was a DVD player in the room with a choice of films (free) from reception which came in handy on the afternoons when it rained.
The weather was not great during our stay but we did not mind as we made the most of the hotel. There is a nice pool area with sun loungers outside. Inside there is a downstairs bar with live sport showing on the TV, upstairs is a reading room (lovely outlook to the sea with huge comfy sofas) and a roof terrace where breakfast is served each morning and during the day & night you can eat a meal here or have a drink.
The breakfast is delicious with a massive choice, and the hotel offers a snack/meal menu service to the roof terrace, pool or room with lovely (and reasonably priced) dishes ranging from pastas to bruschetta to desserts. The location in Taormina is great. It is peaceful and yet only a 10min walk to the bustling centre and a 5min walk to the bus station - we took the bus from the airport as driving would be a bit of a nightmare.
There is a lovely beach nearby and the hotel offers regular transfers and give you a beach bag with towels to take with you - all this attention to detail is what makes it extra special.

"Impressive"
We booked Carlotta as we were getting married in Taormina that week and wanted some luxury! The website was impressive enough!
The decor all around the hotel is contemporary and really well coordinated. We had wedding photos taken around the stairways and in the reading room which are brilliant backdrops.
Our room (one of the less expensive)and shower room was spacious and so comfortable. Everything’s so clean and well cared for, and outside the garden and pool are lovely to relax in.
Breakfast was a huge choice of breads, fresh fruits, roasted veggie dishes, cooked options, cakes and as much tea/coffee/fruit juice as you want, all served on the roof terrace providing great views of the coast. In the evenings snacks were offered for those drinking up there too. Very friendly staff were always happy to help and provided what we’d asked for efficiently. The free internet access in the bar was really handy as we needed to check weather for our wedding day. Carlotta is well placed in relation to Taormina too as the bus from Catania Airport stops right outside, the main bus station is a 10 min walk away, cable car to beach is approx 15 mins and the centre of town 10 mins.
All in all its the perfect place to stay for a romantic break/honeymoon and we have great memories of our time there.

"Fantastic time"
We spent the last five days of our honeymoon package at Villa Carlotta and it was the perfect end to a fantastic time. The hotel itself is stunning, the photos and videotour do not do it justice. It is well located for the main area of Taormina but away from the very centre so quiet in the evenings, no rowdy revellers! We had a suite on the lower floor which was stunning with its own veranda, with loungers. The service is superb, the staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast is served on the very top floor and is more of a brunch with hot and cold dishes and cake for afters! The pool is secluded, and quite deep so perhaps not too child friendly but there is also a shuttle bus down to a private beach with a gorgeous restaurant and bar and for 8 euros you get the bus there and back and a towel and a lounger! The hotel is expensive at 400 euros a night but it is worth every penny. Would go again in a heartbeat.

"Amazing two weeks in Taormina"
We had an amazing two weeks stay at the Villa Carlotta in Taormina. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and it really made our honeymoon extra special. The views from the hotel are stunning, especially from the terrace at the top of the building. It was a delight to sit here and enjoy a delicious Sicilian buffet breakfast overlooking the sea and Mount Etna. We liked it so much we are sending my parents for a week to Villa Carlotta in September! Thanks to everyone for a fantastic and unforgettable honeymoon time in beautiful Sicily.

"Amazing Honeymoon"
My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. We had a suite on the lobby level of the hotel (across from the bar) and it was gorgeous! Full living room, huge bathroom, study and then a nice bedroom with a balcony/view. The staff was amazing - everyone from the guys at the front desk to the bartender. We received excellent restaurant recommendations and overall had a wonderful time. We also took the shuttle down to the beach one day - you have to request the service about an hour before you want to go. Taormina was one of our favourite stops in Italy. The people, food, beach and views were excellent. We can't wait to go back!
