Taormina’s pedestrianized town center can be reached in less than 10 minutes walk from the Villa.

Taormina, with its spectacular Greek Theatre and its Arab-Norman buildings, is just one site not to be missed. Not far from the Hotel, you will find Castelmola, an ancient Medieval village, the uncontaminated oasis of Isolabella and Mount Etna, a paradise for nature lovers. A day trip to Mount Etna is certainly worth it!

By plane
From the nearby Catania "Fontana Rossa" international airport there are several ways to reach Villa Carlotta:

By INTERBUS coach you reach Taormina in under an hour (tickets - 10 euro)
By taxi you can reach the hotel directly. Taormina is about 50km (30 miles) from Catania’s airport (booking through the hotel costs approx. 80 euro).

By car
From Messina or Catania, take the A18 motorway getting off at the Taormina exit. After passing through the toll station keep to your right in the direction of TAORMINA/MAZZARÒ/SPISONE and follow the costal road for aprox. 2.5 km. At the Grandhotel Capotaormina, seen at a right curve on your left, turn right in the direction of TAORMINA CENTRO onto Via Luigi Pirandello. After aprox. 2 Km uphill you'll see Villa Carlotta’s entrance on the bend in the road. The hotel’s entrance is easy to notice when looking out for the large stained-glass windows found in the Villa’s old stone tower.

By train
Trains coming from Rome and Northern Italy destined for Syracuse and Agrigento also stop at "Taormina-Giardini Naxos" station, only 5 km Taormina’s town center. To reach Villa Carlotta from the station you can take public bus transit or a private taxi (approx. 20 euro).

By bus
The "Interbus" Company links Rome and all the main cities in Sicily with Taormina.
